Forgot to post our Christmas Photo Shoot!

Back in mid-december my Dad came over and did a little winter photo shoot with us...we hadn't taken any photos of the three of us in a long time. We had a great time and a few of these photos even made it onto our Christmas card!

Here they are:

THE BABY IS A........

Ha ha. Made you read past the title! Well, we found out that Baby Baker #2 is a GIRL! I was sure it was a boy and I was shocked to hear that Lorelei would have a little sister! I am especially excited for Lorelei since I never had a sister and these two will be so close in age. Matt could not have been happier with the news than if he had won the lottery! He would love to have ALL girls. The ultrasound tech said she was 104% sure it was a girl and that there was no boy parts to be found...only a lot of views of a hamburger! We are very happy and are glad to add to the gang of baby girls born to our friends up in Humboldt!

Half way there!

Well, here is the belly at 20 weeks. Things are going very well and I am feeling the little one move a TON. Especially when I am trying to rest. Matt felt the baby move for the first time this week and Lorelei loves to come up to my belly and say, "belly, baby...night-night baby". So much fun.

January 2008

It has been quite a month for us! We have recovered from the Holidays and have finally become healthy after battling cold after flu after cold! Lorelei has had some "firsts" this month: first piggy-tails (sort of), first time in the big girl blow up bathtub from Grandma Barrow (she has graduated from the kitchen sink and we have no bathtubs at our house...only showers) and first climbing: into chairs, and up and on to her castle slide. She says "Please" and "Thank You" without fail and this is truly my biggest accomplishment in life! She LOVES any sort of frozen Popsicle and enjoys being outside where she labels things like "grass", "house", "tree" etc. She loves her evenings with Daddy and gets a huge kick out of sitting on things right now whether it be a doll, Bailey trying to take a nap, or Daddy's head when he is laying on the ground! Oh so much fun. We love her to pieces.

Here are some photos from this month:

San Francisco Pro Life Walk, January 2008

On January 19th, 2008, Matt's Mom, sisters and I joined in on the Pro Life Walk in San Francisco. We went with a group from St. Mary's High School (Matt's H igh School and where his Mom works). There were 30,000 marchers and it was a great (and peaceful) demonstration. It was even more fun to march with such a cause since I look pregnant now! The walk was about 4 miles long and we had beautiful weather!

Here are photos from the day:

Photos at Lodi Lake

During the big Barrow Family Gathering over the Holidays, we had a professional photographer take pictures of the whole group and individual families and kids. It is fun to have a shot of the three of us (Me, Matt and Lola) before baby #2 comes along! Some really great photos resulted. Here are some of the proofs.

Getting Bigger!

Well, here I am again three weeks after the last series of photos were taken. I am now in my 18th week (17.5 weeks) which means that I am done with my 4th month and am into my 5th. I am getting used to having a belly again! Even Lorelei has noticed and frequently walks over to me (no matter where we are unfortunately), lifts my shirt and proclaims "Belly! Baby!" Oh my. I don't think she has any idea what is actually going on but she will kiss my belly and poke at my belly button (perhaps warning the little inhabitant that she is, and always will be, the Queen Bee).

I am excited to be starting a prenatal yoga class this week...some peace and quite time for Mommy. Ahhhhhhhh.

We will find out the sex of the baby in about two weeks from now! More updates then!

Christmas Fun!

We had a wonderful Christmas filled with lots of family! We were able to spend quality time with both sides and we were also lucky enough to have the entire extended Barrow clan join us from Colorado and Missouri for the week following Christmas! What a blast. Despite winter colds, we all had a fabulous Christmas and Lorelei was in LOVE with anything resembling Santa (she called him "Ahh-tee" and Christmas trees which she would insist be turned on if they weren't already! 15 month is a great age and we are getting a kick out of her daily changes!

We also had an engagement in the family! My brother, Kyle, proposed to his girfriend of 5 years (Aimee) a few days before Christmas! I was so excited when he let me in on the secret ahead of time and asked me to go with him to get the ring! Congrats Aimee and Kyle and welcome to our crazy family Aimee! Happy 2008!

Here are some photos of Holiday Fun and some photos of Lorelei from December too!
